| J.T. Lionel Martin (BSc., Geology, P. Geo.) Position: Lead Independent Director Mr. Martin is the Lead Independent Director of the Company. He is a Professional Geoscientist with over 30 years of experience in Asia, Canada and Africa. Mr. Martin worked with Noranda Inc. for 16 years where he was Exploration Manager-Australasia, preceding that he was with Eldorado Nuclear Ltd. (now Cameco Corp.) for 7 years, and most recently was Chief Operating Officer for East Asia Minerals Corporation. Prior to joining the Company, he was responsible for generating projects and negotiating advanced exploration agreements in Asia, one of which led to significant added tonnage and grade to a large porphyry copper-gold deposit in Papua New Guinea. In the Abitibi region of Northern Canada, Mr. Martin was a senior member of the team that discovered two base metals deposits in Quebec's Matagami Mining Camp, one of which commenced production. He functioned as the lead developer of Noranda's drill core sampling and analysis protocols, and is also a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and holds a B.Sc. (Geology). | |
| Edward C. Rochette Position: Independent Director Mr. Rochette is an independent director and is a lawyer, international contract negotiator and transaction specialist with 30 years of experience in the acquisition of mining rights, international business, land management and natural resource transactions. Currently Mr. Rochette is a Director/Chairman of the Board of East Asia Minerals Corp. and a Partner with IBDA, a consulting firm in China conducting business in Beijing and other areas of the world, where his responsibilities include being the transaction specialist in the international mining sector. Previously he was Senior Vice President of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. for 16 years where his responsibility included the negotiation to acquire the world class Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold project. Mr. Rochette obtained his B.Sc. degree from the University of Wisconsin in August 1969 and a Juris Doctorate degree from Lewis & Clark University in June 1978. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar Association. | |
| Alex Granger Position: Chief Executive Officer and Director Mr. Granger as the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the management of overall operations and development of new business of the Company. Mr. Granger has spent the last twelve years in the investment banking industry covering the metals and mining sector. The last ten of those years were spent in the Asia Pacific region with CIBC World Markets financing companies based in Asia and Australia. Mr. Granger has assisted companies in Asia raise in excess of $1 billion on the Toronto Stock Exchange and has advised both large and small companies in cross border transactions. Mr. Granger brings an extensive knowledge of the global capital markets to the Company, having been based in Canada, the U.S., China, Australia and Hong Kong during his career as a metals and mining investment banker. In addition to working with the Company, Mr. Granger was recently President at East Asia Minerals Corp. Mr. Granger holds a B. Comm. degree obtained from McGill University in May 2000. | |
| Michael Nayyar Position: Chief Financial Officer Mr. Nayyar is the Chief Financial Officer and responsible for the management of the accounting operations of the Company. He has more than 15 years of financial strategy and operational experience in a number of industries, including mining and exploration. He began his career in public practice with an international accounting firm providing assurance, business advisory and taxation services to private and public clients. Mr. Nayyar is experienced with public company accounting and financial reporting for Canadian and US companies. In addition, he has consulted on initial public offerings, corporate re-organizations and business advisory assignments for various clients. Mr. Nayyar is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. In addition to working with the Company, Mr. Nayyar is Chief Financial Officer at East Asia Minerals Corp. Prior to joining East Asia Minerals Corp. in 2008, Mr. Nayyar was a self-employed accountant from 2003. | |
| Dibiansyah Hamid Position: Project Manager Mr. Hamid is an Indonesian national and graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1985 with a degree in Geology. Mr. Hamid has more than twenty years experience specializing in gold and base metal exploration throughout Indonesia. Before his work with Barisan Gold, Mr. Hamid was involved with Rio Tinto on its exploration and project generation throughout Indonesia, including Aceh. Mr. Hamid has worked on world class porphyry mineral districts including Freeport (Grasberg-Ertzberg), North Limited and Newmont (Batu Hijau). Mr. Hamid blends a strong technical background on porphyry and epithermal system with extensive experience in operations and project management. |
